Antonia graduated in law at the University of Malta in 2006 and obtained her LL.M. in Corporate and Commercial Law from the London School of Economics in 2007. Prior to joining Praude Asset Management Limited, Antonia worked at one of the leading Law firms in Malta , where she spent the last 6 years working in the investment services and funds sector, advising clients on structuring collective investment schemes, including hedge funds and UCITS, and on regulatory and legal matters involved in the setting up of investment management companies as well as other service providers. She also has vast experience in corporate governance related matters as well as all corporate matters relating to regulated structures.
Robert Azzopardi is a Certified Public Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Acountancy (Hons.) degree from the Univeristy of Malta, and is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants. He worked in the assurance and advisory team of a Big 4 accountancy firm in Malta for 7 years, and was assigned to other offices in Milan, Cleveland, London, Bermuda and Luxembourg. Prior to joining Pruade Asset Management in June 2016 as Chief Financial Officer, he was a Financial Controller and Fund Operations Manager at a fund of hedge funds investment manager for 6 years.
Massimo Malvestio graduated in law at Padua University in 1985 and founded the Italian law firm Barel Malvestio & Associati five years later, where he has been the managing partner until 2013. Throughout his career Massimo has been consultant of a number of Italian banks and listed companies. He is also a “revisore contabile” and in 1988 was admitted to the trading floor of Milan Stock Exchange. He served on the boards and investments committees of banks, asset managers and brokerage houses in Italy, Luxembourg and Malta. Massimo has published a number of books and was invited to hold talks on banking, financial and corporate law subjects. In 2014 he relocated from Italy to Malta and he is currently bringing to a close his profession as a lawyer to devote all his time to asset management activities.
Marcel Zimmermann has been actively investing in Asia since 1980. He left Banca del Gottardo, Lugano in 1993 as Vice Director and Head of the Asian market-making activity to set up his own asset management company. He furthermore diversified into market research and analysis to support institutional clients [SICAV] in the asset allocation and stock selection of their Asian portfolio. Several of these funds won Lipper and Morningstar awards. He also sits on the board of the Directors of Lemanik SICAV Luxembourg. Marcel now sits on the Board of Directors of Praude Asset Management Ltd. He is also a member on the Investment Committee.
Michael obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2009 from the University of Malta majoring in Economics and Banking & Finance. He continued his studies specialising in Banking & Finance when in 2010 he obtained his Honours degree. He is currently studying for his CFA. In July 2010 he was employed by Praude Asset Management Ltd and Veniero Investments Ltd as Investment Analyst.
Jean Paul Camilleri obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Business Studies from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2011. He was recruited by an asset management firm in Malta that same year and worked in the fund administration department. In 2012 he was given the opportunity to work on the trading desk of the same firm and has successfully worked on the trading desk up until he joined Praude Asset Management Ltd in May 2014 as a financial analyst.
Prior to joining Praude, Max spent the last four years working in the CAS (Company Administration Services) department at PwC where he dealt with the administration of a large portfolio of clients. This involved the accounting and the day to day running of the companies including dealing with VAT, tax and the legislative compliance of the companies. In September 2016 he joined Praude Asset Management Limited and Veniero Investments Limited as a Corporate Executive and is currently studying ACCA.
Maria has been working as a Personal Secretary and Office Administrator for a number of years with reputable businesses in Malta. Between 1997 and 2009 she worked with HSBC Fund Management (Malta) Ltd, as Manager’s Assistant and eventually as the Manager responsible for the overall running of the Operations Department. In October 2010 she was engaged by Praude Asset Management Ltd and Veniero Investments Ltd as an Office Administrator, supporting the company's Investment Analysts.
David Galea Souchet is a Co-owner, Director and COO of Cordium Malta providing regulatory compliance and support services for the investment services industry. David acts as Non-Executive Director and Compliance Officer on a number of Funds and Fund managers. Previously he was group financial controller with a diversified group of companies and between 2004 and 2008, he was Chief Officer for Corporate Services at Malta Enterprise Corporation, the agency responsible for foreign direct investment and support to industry. David started his career in 1992 at PricewaterhouseCoopers(PwC) where he spent 12 years in business assurance and as a manager was responsible for a significant portfolio of clients in various industries both locally and overseas including a number of special assignments such as high profile financial investigations. David presently is the vice president of the Malta Association of Compliance Officers and has been a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants since 1998.
Caroline, a Dutch national residing in Malta, obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2014 from the University of Malta, majoring in Accounting and Banking & Finance. She continued to specialise in Banking & Finance and obtained her Honours degree in 2015. She then passed all three levels of the CFA Program in 2016 and 2017 and may be awarded the charter upon completion of the required work experience. In September 2017 she was employed by Praude Asset Management Ltd and Veniero Investments Ltd as Investment Analyst.
Elia Kuhnreich obtained a MSC in banking and finance at Bocconi University in Milan in 2014. Prior to joining Praude Asset Management Limited, Elia worked at UBS as equity research analyst covering the Italian and Eastern European banking sector. In 2015 he joined Arca SGR, one of the leading players in the Italian asset management industry, as portfolio manager, managing the funds specialized in the Italian equity market. At Arca, he developed a special focus on the small cap companies managing around €1bn worth of assets in this asset class. In 2018 he relocated from Italy to Malta and joined Praude Asset Management Limited as a portfolio manager.
